Remembering Tom West
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom West, CHCL’s Capital Campaign Associate. He passed away Saturday, January 9th.
Tom has been a valued member of our team since 2015. As Capital Campaign Associate, Tom worked with many donors and foundations to help secure funding for CHCL’s Building a Healthier West Texas Capital Campaign. The campaign has funded the Main Clinic, as well as provide supplies needed for other projects that have impacted the South Plains and individuals that we serve. Tom had many gifts. One of his greatest gifts was the ability to build lasting relationships. He took the time to know every one of us on a personal and professional level. He was kind and genuine and through his talents, CHCL established a base of wonderful donors and supporters over the last five years.
Tom loved CHCL and everything it stood for. He was amazed at how many people needed CHCL. His big heart and easy-going personality made him well liked, not only at CHCL, but in the entire Lubbock community and surrounding communities. His laugh was infectious and could be heard before he ever entered a room. Tom embodied CHCL’s core values. He understood CHCL’s vision and was a true believer in our mission. He did all he could to make CHCL and the Lubbock community a better place.
Tom was an integral part of CHCL, and he will truly be missed by all of us. The West family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
